Mobile App Competition

Six teams of Olympic students competed this year in the CPCC in the Finals of the Lenovo Scholars Mobile App Development Competition. The Lenovo scholars at Olympic have spent 3 hours per week for the entire school year attending after-school mobile app development classes. All Lenovo scholar completers received a Pre-Apprenticeship Certificate from the NC Department of Labor today – a unique designation for any high school student.

These Olympic students won 1st Place and are now entered in the National NAF competition:

  • Tattiana Wilkins

  • Keiran Washington

These 2nd Place finishers from Olympic earned  a position in the National NAF competition as well:

  • Matthew Pitts

  • Caleb Barcello

Olympic teacher Michael Realon praised the Olympic High School Foundation for its support of programs like this.
